I have also disabled my VZ Navigator and still cannot duplicate any issues while running Google Navigator. Perhaps you have another 3rd party application that is conflicting with Google Navigator. Remove the most recently installed applications and test. Disabling the app from the applications setting will hide the app from the app drawer and prevent it from running or interfering with Google Navigation.
